Dilo is a project that has been developed in the context of the lecture “Supply and Demand” from the chair of Media, Trend & Public Appearance at Bauhaus Universität Weimar, during the summer semester 2013.

Dilo is a small business, which offers an analog medium of communication. The concept of Dilo comes from the analysis of the values of giving a gift, which could be symbolic, economical or social. On the other hand, the trends into the field of supply and demand in communication’s industry motivated me to offer an analog medium, in which people have the possibility to send a message together with a little present without special reason and to surprise a person in every day life.

People would find Dilo store in some random place of the city, where they may buy a card together with a small present, more importantly writing a personal message to a love one. Especially, Dilo is a small business result of the combination of several concepts, like: every day gifts, the ability to surprise, trends of communication’s demand and communication by analog medium.

“Dilo” is a Spanish word, witch means, “Say it!” in English.
