Arrival and Departure

On arrival dates we welcome you personally at our meeting point in Weimar main station. The train station is quite small, so you cannot miss us. If you have booked accommodation through us, you will receive your room key here. In addition, all participants will receive a city map and a welcome folder including your Bauhaus Summer School ID card. Please take good care of it: from the first day on it will serve as a ticket for the Thuringian public transport!

Later or earlier arrivals:

Please note that we can only welcome you personally during the periods mentioned. If you arrive before or after the mentioned dates, you may have to rent a hotel or hostel room and a taxi independently. You will have to pay the costs for this yourself. If you arrive one (or a few days) earlier, then simply come by the station on the official arrival day.

If you arrive in Weimar before the official arrival time, you can look for accommodation on the website of the city of Weimar.

Departure time is 08:00 - 11:30 am on Saturday, 31 August. If you have booked accommodation with the Bauhaus Summer School, please consider the following specifications regarding your departure and check-out:

Room in a shared apartment & Low budget rooms
If you are staying in a shared room, please get in contact with your contact person. You will find his*her contact information in your Welcome-to-Weimar sheet. You should agree on an appointment for the contact person to inspect your room.  If everything is fine, your contact person will sign the so-called walk-through certificate. On this document will also be noted where you will hand in your key - whether you leave it in the apartment or hand it in at the Campus Office on the official day of departure.

Student hall 
If you have booked a room in the student hall, one of our tutors will insepct your room before departure. When you leave your room for the last time, don't forget to empty the trash, close the window and switch off the light. Our tutor will sign your walk-through certificate which you return together with your room key at Campus Office. 

Hotel and hostel
Please leave your accommodation according to the instructions of the hotel/hostel and respect the given check-out times. Please hand in the keys at the reception.
