The motto of the 2024 annual exhibition draws attention to the alternative solutions for current social challenges that are being devised, tested and developed at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. At the same time, it emphasises that progress cannot succeed without failure. After all, research, art and teaching thrive on the freedom to experiment. Every result counts and serves as a source of inspiration and innovation.

At the »summaery2024« annual exhibition from 11 to 14 July 2024, the university's students and lecturers will present their ideas and discourses on this year's motto »PLAN B«, which was developed under the leadership of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, at numerous locations on campus as well as in and outside the city.

Strengthening Democracy

In 2024 the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is pursuing the goal of promoting trust in democracy and science, art and educational institutions with this thematic focus. With the »Demokratie stärken« fund of the same name, it supports university projects in the region that cooperate with non-university stakeholders on this topic and make their work visible to the public, e.g. at summaery2024. Anniversary Faculty B

To mark its 70th anniversary, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering is taking stock and looking to the future: an exciting themed year awaits you in 2024 with exhibitions, personal encounters, specialist debates and more. One highlight will be the Science Mile Q3 on summaery Friday. Students, employees from research, technology and administration as well as friends and alumni of the faculty are cordially invited to actively participate!

Since 2007, students and lecturers from all four faculties have been presenting their current projects and ideas together on four days in July at summaery - the annual exhibition of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
