During this year's summaery (»TheSum«) an interactive poster installation by Carmen Draxler (BA Visual Communication, Faculty of Art and Design) put a spotlight on the topic of »gender-inclusive language«. The installation, titled
Sprache ist *****
***** Macht
(language is power), was conceptualized as a visual aid to the Equal Opportunity Office's language guide »Sprache gemeinsam verändern« (»Changing Language Together«). Draxler created the poster installation as part of the course »Make Them Seen, Make Them Heard« by Jonas Beuchert und Tilman Schlevogt (Visiting lecturers of Typography and Type Design, Faculty of Art and Design), in cooperation with the Diversity Department and the Equal Opportunity Office of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. From 15 to 22 Juli 2021, the installation was on display in the central square between the university's main-building, the Campus.Office and M18.
