Tour:

Length/Duration:

  • from Jena West to Tram Station: 11 km, estimated ~3:00 h (without stops)
  • bring enough time, there's no shortcut unless you take a Taxi from Wöllnitz!

Back to Weimar:

  • Tram #1, #3 or #4 to Bahnhof Göschwitz
  • RE (~xx.33) or EB (~xx.10) back to Weimar Hbf

Things to pack:

  • Bottle of water
  • Something to eat for a short halftime break
  • Some money (there's a nice Beergarden at the end of the track!)
  • Light rain jacket (just in case…)
  • Appropriate footwear (really important, the trail at the Sonnenberghorizontale and the Lutherkanzel is narrow and steep!)

Weather:

  • It is expected to be a beautiful day (~20 to ~23 °C)
  • IMPORTANT: In case of (severe) thunderstorms we will abort this field trip. Please check this site on Tuesday noon to see if there are any changes!
