Jena Saale Horizontale
The Saale Horizontale is a trail around Jena, crossing the dry and sunny mountain slopes. Jena is unique in having more than seven nature preserves in the city's nearest vicinity.

Length/Duration:
- from Jena West to Tram Station: 11 km, estimated ~3:00 h (without stops)
- bring enough time, there's no shortcut unless you take a Taxi from Wöllnitz!
Back to Weimar:
- Tram #1, #3 or #4 to Bahnhof Göschwitz
- RE (~xx.33) or EB (~xx.10) back to Weimar Hbf
Things to pack:
- Bottle of water
- Something to eat for a short halftime break
- Some money (there's a nice Beergarden at the end of the track!)
- Light rain jacket (just in case…)
- Appropriate footwear (really important, the trail at the Sonnenberghorizontale and the Lutherkanzel is narrow and steep!)
Weather:
- It is expected to be a beautiful day (~20 to ~23 °C)
